The town of Portugalete has 2 pneumatic waste collection systems intalled by URD. Once they are fully developed, the whole garbage of the city will be collected by pneumatic means. The recycling rates are improving year by year due to the good acceptance of the system by the citizens, along with the amazing training programme made the Municipality. As a result, Portugalete has recycled 3% more in 2017 than in 2016, getting closer to the recycling goals requested by the EU Programme H2020.
